The rain is a good thing for the lawn.  It takes me an hour on a riding lawnmower, and even longer to water it.
 

SUNFLOWERS

A neighbor at the end of our country mile is growing sunflowers.  Sunflowers are new to our area, so there is only about 10 acres being grown.  It is going to be interesting to see how harvest goes and if more are grown next year.

What IS this nasty weed?  Some people call is scour weed, some people call it snake grass, and I have heard others call it horse tail, but whatever it is it needs to go away!
