Super Nova Brugmansia
August 15, 2008Reaping Rewards
August 14, 2008August is the lushest month so far, with September coming soon. Evening temperatures as dipping down into the low 50’s and the day’s climbing into the high 80s and early 90s, making everything say: “Let’s produce for it might freeze soon”.
As humans we get to reap the reward of the plants need to reproduce [...]
Free Range Chickens-Learning How to Be
August 13, 2008The Chickens are learning how to ‘free range’. This is their first time to leave the house, and oh, my how BIG the world is!
I teach them to go back into the house, by only letting them free range a short time before bedtime. Once they understand that they can go back inside to [...]
Bear Creek Falls, Ouray, Colorado
August 12, 2008Part of our family took a little trip to Ouray, Colorado, to go ‘dipping’.

The sky is fresh, the leaves have been washed, and the ground isn’t as thirsty as before.

August 8, 2008
Irrigation tubes get broken, shatter because of being brittle, or cracked somehow, so Terry has figured out a way to make his own.
This is a special ‘heat blanket’, when he is done Ta-Da a new tube.
Dragonflies
August 7, 2008We have lots and lots of Dragonflies this year. I like seeing them as they are really good bugs. They have grown LARGE this season, some are blue and some are green, but all are just gorgeous.
The one you are looking at is Blue.
Old Homestead
August 7, 2008Not far from us is the Rubidoux Canyon, along the dirt and gravel road we pass this forlorn little homestead cabin.
I always wonder who came, took the time to build, and then found out that the water in the Rubidoux River dries up in August or September. Thereby forcing the family to move on, looking [...]
Our Baby Calves are Growing Up
August 7, 2008They are still a most unusual color. I had wondered if they would change, but they haven’t.
