Gateway, Colorado

The man who owns the Discovery channel bought up several acres of land (300 or so) in a canyon 1.5 hours from our house.

Once he bought the land he decided to create a resort and to showcase his car collection.

There you can see lots of restored cars, plus this concept car that he bought for $3.24 million!

  1. I had to smile at your comment to me Linda, Prairie Guy is way more revved by rusty old grain trucks, backhoes, bobcats and front end loaders. And he finds bling vehicles totally impractical and “doesn’t get it”. Guess we were made for each other. I always have to grin when I hear that country song “She thinks my tractor’s sexy” (even though I HATE that word); and “she’s even kinda crazy bout my farmer’s tan”. =D true redneck love is ours…..

  2. Wow, they are something.

  3. Those cars are something else! My husband would love to see those in person.. He used to restore cars and trucks.
    Great photos.
    Have a great day.

  4. yikes. fancy schmancy. I like vintage that’s not quite so bling ;-)

  5. JR loves car shows. We went to the Ford museum in Detroit one year. You’d have thought he was in heaven.

  6. That is a very neat place to visit. I bet I could my hubs there too to drool over the cars. Zach is redoing our ‘76 Nova SS. He has restored a ‘71 chev pickup too when he was 15 yrs old.

I am way behind on my blog reading so have not read your book posts but will get to it soon. I promise.
