THE MALL

November 24, 2008

One Week End We Went to the Mountains, Then Last Weekend THE MALL

Although, you can’t tell from this photo, we went to the city….then to the biggest mall.  I have a tendency to claustrophobic with so many people around.  Not to mention how I hate to drive in large messes of traffic.

O’Malley

November 24, 2008

O’Malley came up to visit.  O’Malley is the new kitty living with Bladen and Linkin (and Tallen).
This little kitty was going to have her head bashed because the kids at the house were allergic; she now lives at the McCormick household.

Now Monkey did not think this was a good deal….to have a cute little [...]

A Tale of Two Dogs

November 21, 2008

Four years ago Misty and Kelly got Checkers.

Checkers with her summer ‘do’
At the time Checkers was five years old and had been abandoned at the home she had always lived in since she was born.  It seems that the people who used to own and love her decided to move to town and didn’t or [...]

Evening Chores

November 20, 2008

By the time I get home in the evening the sun is starting to set.
These are the Paonia Mountains and the Ragged Mountains looking across the lower hayfield behind our house.

This is what the sky looks like when we get done and go in for the night. And it isn’t the middle of winter yet.

Corn Harvest Fall 2008

November 18, 2008

After finishing one field, and starting another field, the combine had a blow out. One reason Terry had 5 combines is one (and maybe two) is for parts.

But there was still enough light to continue the harvest.  Besides Terry has lights on the combine and on the truck, but daylight is better.

Bladen wanted to help [...]

Old Road from Delta to Escalante Canyon

November 17, 2008

Friday, I had the day off so we traveled on the old road from Delta to the Escalante Canyon.
Can you imagine taking products up this road to get it to town? Sharon said her Grandmother never left the canyon for 7.5 years.  I can see why.

After we got to the bottom we turned onto [...]

Blue for Memories

November 17, 2008

This painting was given to by a neat lady years and years ago when our daughters were in kindergarten together.  I have hung this in a special place in my house for 32 years and every time I look at upon it I think always of those times when our daughters played together.
