The Days are Growing Longer

purple-winter-sky

I am sooo happy!  The days are growing longer and longer so there is more daylight to do chores in.  Here is a neat site

http://www.sunrisesunset.com/custom_srss_calendar.asp

to let you see the actual time of daylight where you live.

It comes in calendar format so you can print it out and hang it up to check daily.  (That is what I do…it has the best spot on the refrigerator.)

For instance today is Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Twi: 7:00am
Sunrise: 7:29am
Sunset: 5:12pm
Twi: 5:41pm
Moonrise: 8:40pm
Moonset: 9:13am

YEAH!

  1. What a gorgeous photo!
Thanks for the link. I’m so tuned into the length of the day this time a year. We’re picking up two minutes each day and now the sun doesn’t set until 4:30. I’m very envious of your 5:12.
Spring, summer, they can’t be far off.

  2. Yesterday I noticed that it was still light out when it was time to feed the chickens their dinner at 6. Its only January so hopefully we’ll all get rid of this snow soon and spring will come early just as the winter came early!

  3. I need to copy that because I always want to know about the full moon. We can’t see it from our house, but if I know about it, I can get to a place I can watch it come up (o:

  4. Gorgeous sunset. Nothing like Colorado sunsets and sunrises. I miss the mountain sunsets.

  5. A minute or so longer everyday! Great Sunset! :)

  11. What a beautiful picture! We just spent a good ten minutes this weekend trying to explain what Butler bins were to someone out here. They have only ever seen regular silos apparently. ;)
