Apricots are in Bloom

And of course if froze, so that means no fruit. The average in our area is every five years we get an apricot crop.

Still I can enjoy the blossoms, this is one type of apricot (Sun Gold, I think) and here is another, which I don’t know the name.

So pretty and even if it only happens once in a while, it would still be worth it!

Oh, I’m so sorry about your apricots. Beautiful trees though. Not sure I’ve ever seen one before.

Gorgeous! I love this time of year! Sorry you won’t get any apricots, though. Do you ever dry them?

Those are beautiful trees! I am so sorry you will not get to enjoy any fruit though. I love apricots, and my mom makes the very best apricot pie….now I want some.

IT is beautiful but I think you’d rather have the fruit, right.

What a shame, but I love your photos. The blossoms are beautiful. I esp love the first photo, and the ruralness of the area.
Thanks for visiting my blog, as always!

I LOVE fruit blossoms. And as much as I just adore the month of March here in AZ with orange blossoms, I sure do miss apricot and apple and pear and whatever else we had at higher elevation level. I’m going to DC next week and the cherry blossoms will be on and I’m so EXCITED!! Maybe a bit too excited.

Oh, how beautiful. My grandma only got apricots from her tree once and she planted it 17 years ago. I’m always afraid to plant anything here because of our schizophrenic weather.

Your trees are gorgeous Linda
I’ve never seen an apricot tree – does it have a wonderful smell?
I lost my peach trees a few years ago to frost – it’s dissapointing for sure.

I’m not a big apricot fan but the flowers are pretty.

What lovely trees, do they have a delicious fragrance like apple blossom’s?

The concept of having apricots, even once every five years is a wonderful thing and the blossoms are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!

That is so sad. We had a plum tree and had the same problem. It is still pretty to look at.
