up here the ol’timers would say if the corn is “knee high by the 4th of July” the crop was right on track.

Love the pics of the kids in the corn! Knee high by the 4th of July! I was trying to remember the saying when I started reading your post! I knew there was some little saying that could help you determine how good your corn is doing!! Looks wonderful! Is that eating corn or feeding livestock corn?
I remember being sat on the front porch with my brothers to shuck bags and bags of corn!! Good times!
