Here in Vermont, winter is always just around the corner and this summer with such cool temperatures, I can't even begin to imagine how the winter will be.

Oh boy, I am sorry about so much rain. We need some, but I wouldn't want that much.

Summer must be very short for you guys, where here, summer is always long, and we have very short winters.

wow your first line says it perfectly.. life here whether it's haying or riding horses is so much dictated by the weather... something that's been real hard for me to get used to... i guess it's one of G-d's lessons for me to learn to "flow with the go"! :)

blessings
gp where the horses get their nightly bath from the thunderstorms!

We are in need of rain here in Minnesota too! We could use a week long soaker! We have been cool most of the summer so far. Only used the Air Conditioner one or two days so far. :)

It has been quite the summer of weather this year! We have had hail here but havent heard of much damage. But there has been hail damage in WY. First cutting has not been good for our neighbors either as there was so much rain and hail. Not good.

For 24 hrs-yesterday- there was storm after storm. Rained off and on all day long. Should be able to WATCH the corn grow! lol

They must have left a trainee in charge of the weather this year. Rivers over their banks. Flooding in Pocatello. But the farmers in the high country are saving big bucks every day they don't have to run the big center pivot sprinklers. Silver linings. Don't want to even THINK about the cold "W" word.

We have had a wet winter so far, usually it is dry.Our wet season is summer.Thankfully we have had only 2 frosts, but I suspect more is on the way.I cant beleive we are in the second week of July already, time flies. Our day time temps have been a moderate 20c(68f in your lingo)Im guessing thats not real cold to you !!! lol.The nights have been down to 2c (36f)By September we will be seeing the heat return.I just hate going from winter to summer...but so often we seem to miss out on spring.I am in sub-tropical Queensland, further south they have a nice cover of snow :0)And in the Top End they are getting a balmy 30c(86f)in winter!

Hi there Linda, Yes it has been an interesting summer but since this is only my second summer I'm not sure what normal is! Early fall and winter-no, we haven't even had a dry month yet. I wonder what a hard winter is-the first year(07)we were here the locals said we got more snow than normal and this last winter was dryer than normal(minus a couple of blizzards). We're going to New Mexico at the beginning of Oct.so I hope there won't be snow that early.
Have a blessed day.
