In-between harvesting the corn and hauling hay-

  1. You are moving right along. This time last year, we were also doing major work on the barn.
I thought the hand prints were precious.

  2. as they grow they can trace their bigger hand around to see the progress they have made!

  3. We do the same thing with new cement…………must be something from our childhood ;) All the best with your harvest :)

  4. Having the handprints and date in the cement is a great bit of family history. The foundation is looking good!

  5. Lovely idea, keeping memories in cement…

  7. I love the hand prints, that is so sweet…

  8. Excellent! There are hand prints in the concrete in the original run-in shed off the main barn – the daughter of the people who lived here back in the 70’s. Her brother stopped by recently to see the new building and what else we’d done with the farm and was really happy to see those hand prints.

  9. Your blue skies look so pretty! Especially since it is almost
November! My husband said that the corn around here is still
36% – very high. Still lots of corn and beans need harvested.
Congratulations on the Barn foundation, looks good!

  10. Love the grands hand prints..it is coming along! :)

  11. Having the cement done has got to be a big accomplishment as busy as you have been. I love the hand prints.

  12. We had rain here and snow South of here.

  13. Won’t be long and the walls will be going up! So, nice to do the hand prints for the future great, great grand kids:)

  14. Wow how GREAT!!!! I love the handprints! We wrote on our foundation in the driveway when we moved in back in 1988. I still notice our initials almost each time I’m out there. Takes me back to when we were young and goofy. Now we’re just goofy. :)

  15. That is coming along well

  16. I remember putting our handprints in cement when we were kids. Fun memories.

  17. Now, every time you go into the barn you can remember how little they were at one time.
